Kane marks his 100th goal for Bayern Munich
Harry Kane has stated that his desire in returning to the Premier League has diminished and he is open to negotiate a new contract with Bayern Munich.
The prolific striker is presently two years through the four-year agreement he inked when joining from Tottenham Hotspur for £86.4m in the summer of 2023.
The veteran forward has scored an impressive 103 goals in 106 games for the German side, helping them win the 2024-25 Bundesliga championship - which was the maiden significant honor of his notable career.
Tottenham manager Thomas Frank has previously expressed that he would be pleased to see Kane come back to England, where he lacks 48 goals to surpass Alan Shearer's historic Premier League scoring record of 260.
However, the England skipper has now suggested that he is no longer as eager about returning home as he previously was, and would definitely consider lengthening his stay in Bavaria.
"In terms of staying longer, I could certainly see that," he commented.
"I discussed openly a couple of weeks ago that I have not had those discussions with Bayern yet, but if they were to occur I would be prepared to talk and have an straightforward conversation.
"Obviously it relies on how the next year or so progresses and what we achieve together. Right now, I would say we are in a excellent moment and I am not thinking about anything else.
"In terms of the Premier League, I don't know. If you had inquired me when I first left to go to Bayern, I would have said for sure I would come back.
"Now I have been there a couple of years I would perhaps say that has diminished a little bit, but I wouldn't say I would never go back.
"What I have discovered in my career is that different chances and different periods happen and things align. Going back to my first point with Bayern right now I am completely all in with Bayern."
Record-breaking Achievements and Future Ambitions
Kane is the record top marksman for both Tottenham and England and recently became the fastest player this century to hit 100 goals for a club participating in one of Europe's top five competitions, reaching the milestone in just 104 games for Bayern.
However, a honor had avoided him until he secured the German title last season.
Kane admits that he was not sure how he would react after breaking his trophy drought, but now believes it has made him eager for more success.
"When you win a title like I did last year, maybe it could be easy to go the other way and be like, 'OK I've done what I wanted to achieve'," he explained.
"But it's given me more motivation to do more and be better. I think I've demonstrated that this year.
"I was curious in how I would feel after winning a trophy. Obviously there's still a lot more I want to accomplish in terms of other trophies and bigger trophies for sure.
"But I think it was always just, in my head, what I was going to feel like after I did achieve winning my first one.
"But for sure, I driven myself the other way in terms of being even better, eating even cleaner, doing more gym. Just trying to get the most out of what I've got right now."
